  • Laurence Connors - CEO and Founder

    CEO and Founder Mr. Connors has over 26 years experience working in the financial markets industry. He started his career in 1982 at Merrill Lynch and later moved on to become a Vice President with Donaldson, Lufkin, Jenrette. Mr. Connors has authored top-selling books on market strategies and volatility trading, including How Markets Really Work, and Street Smarts (with Linda Raschke). Street Smarts was selected by Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities magazine as one of "The Classics" for trading books written in the past century. His books have been translated into German, Italian and Japanese. His latest book, Short Term Trading Strategies That Work, will be released in November 2008. 

    Mr. Connors' opinions and insights have been featured or quoted in: the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Barron's, Bloomberg TV & Radio, Bloomberg Magazine, Dow Jones Newswire, Yahoo!Finance, E-Trade Financial Daily, Futures Magazine, Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities, and others. Mr. Connors has been a featured speaker at a number of major investment conferences over the past decade.
  • Tom Hughes - President / COO

    Before he joined The Connors Group in 2008, Tom served 14 years at Moody's Analytics, part of Moody's Investors Service, where he was Senior Vice President for Technology Strategy.  While there he was responsible for the conversion of the Global Credit Research subscription business to digital delivery, and for the inception of a family of data-licensing products.  During his tenure, that business grew from $15 million to more than $300 million in global sales, including over $80 million in data license sales.

    In 2009 Tom was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer of the Connors Group, with responsibility for product and systems development, sales and marketing, finance and operations.

    Prior to Moody's, Tom worked in market-data and trading-floor systems firms, including ADP Brokerage Services, the Citicorp Information Business, Telerate, FD Consulting, and Micrognosis.  A lifelong New Yorker, he sits on the Board of the Alliance for Downtown New York, the business-improvement district for Lower Manhattan and the Financial District.

    Tom holds a Bachelor's degree from Princeton University.
  • Eddie Kwong - Executive Vice President

    Prior to joining The Connors Group in 1999 as a content market analyst, Eddie Kwong was a co-founder and editor of Realtraders.com, an informational Web site for professional traders. Mr. Kwong's experience in the markets has also extended into software development and teaching. He is also the editor of The 401(k) MarketBuster, The Real Holy Grail, The Answers , and speaks at seminars nationwide. He is a graduate of UCLA.
  • Jason Vogelpohl - Vice President, Advertising

    Jason Vogelpohl joined The Connors Group in 2002 and is responsible for advertising sales, revenue share, and other strategic relationships. Mr. Vogelpohl was the first employee hired at IPO.com in 1997 and became Vice President of Business Development. Before joining IPO.com, he traded options on and off the Frankfurt am Main Stock Exchange in Germany and worked on the options floor of the Pacific Stock Exchange. Mr. Vogelpohl was graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Business Economics and a second Bachelors of Arts Degree in German Studies.
  • Danilo S. Torres - Director of Operations

    Danilo has spent the majority of the last decade working in the financial markets publishing industry and currently serves as the Director of Operations for TradingMarkets. Mr. Torres began working with Laurence Connors in 1995, shortly after the publication of "Investment Secrets of a Hedge Fund Manager". He joined TradingMarkets.com at its inception in 1998 and now leads the operations function for the company. He received both his B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
